The click-through rate of a series of Stamp Out Smoking (SOS) spots running on one of the leading Internet radio stations vastly exceeded average click-through rates.
Running exclusively on Pandora Radio, the spots gained 4,284,032 impressions in just three months and had a click-through rate approximately 10 times higher than the national average.
During its 13-year partnership with CJRW, SOS has received numerous awards, including most recently seven medals as recognition of Excellence in Public Health Communications from the National Public Health Information Coalition.
As part of the Arkansas Department of Health’s Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program, Stamp Out Smoking is committed to decreasing or ending tobacco use in Arkansas. SOS has partnered with CJRW since its inception.
Of the seven medals, two gold were awarded. The first was given to CJRW’s SOS team for the “Smokeless” Pandora Radio spots.
The recently launched SOS “Project Prevent” website was the winner of the second gold medal. While Stamp Out Smoking provides assistance to those who seek to quit tobacco usage, Project Prevent was developed to encourage Arkansas youth to say no to tobacco as well as equip youth with the information and resources needed to actively educate their peers about the dangers of tobacco use.
When Project Prevent originated, it was a microsite within the main SOS website and was receiving minimal monthly hits. Once www.ProjectPrevent.com was developed, as many as 11,949 Arkansas youth were visiting each month to obtain information, sign up for contests and get involved.
CJRW is honored to represent Stamp Out Smoking and have the opportunity to create award-winning work that helps improves the health of Arkansans. And we’re pleased that others are taking notice.
