Jim Johnson - Vice Chairman Emeritus

Jim co-founded Cranford/Johnson in 1961.  Along the way, he's won virtually every award possible for creative excellence.  Jim is the keeper of the spirit at CJRW.  To say he is an interesting person is an understatement.
   
A marathon runner (several Grand Canyons and 10 Pike's Peaks).  A guitar player in a rock band.  A mountain climber (Everest Trek).  A motorcycle rider.  A humorist.  An accomplished artist.  The list goes on and on.
   
One of Jim's greatest contributions is his dedication to putting the resources of CJRW to work for the community.  He has served on numerous boards during his long tenure in the advertising business.  He has also contributed hundreds of hours of his time to serving the community.  Jim has been recognized by dozens of local organizations for his contributions.  In 1994, he was presented with the American Advertising Federation's Silver Medal for outstanding contributions to advertising.
   
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Jim graduated from the University of Arkansas.  He began his business career with Hallmark Cards.  He's served on the Arkansas Arts Center Board, Riverfest and the Friends of Public Radio.  He was elected to the Arkansas Runners Hall of Fame in 1992.
