Social Media Director


CJRW seeks a social media director to work as a part of its award-winning digital and creative team. The successful social media director candidate will work on a variety of client and agency social media accounts to oversee strategy, content creation, organic implementation and responsive engagement. Responsibilities include:


·      Work with the digital and creative teams to implement a cohesive multichannel brand strategy

·      Oversee the creation and implementation of organic social media creative and content plans

·      Work with client account managers to align social media goals with overall campaign and client goals

·      Analyze data provided by social media reporting tools to provide actionable insights for future plans and strategies

·      Monitor global social media channel trends to inform campaign strategy and creative and content placements

·      Oversee the Social Media Coordinator to meet client goals

·      Work with the Social Media Coordinator to manage and provide responsive, real-time engagement

·      Work with Social Media Coordinator to monitor local and regional online conversations relevant to clients using online digital tools

·      Act and adapt as the voice of different clients on social media

·      Work with the Social Media Coordinator and digital team to create monthly organic plans to achieve client goals

·      Understand how the user experience helps influence the customer journey to online action and further interaction with the brand

·      Provide on-site social media event support for clients


Job Specifications/Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in marketing, social media, public relations, advertising or other related field

·      Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management

·      Must have a passion for social media and willingness to test new trends, strategies and platforms

·      Must have a thirst for knowledge, the ability to use good judgment, seek out news and foresee trends

·      Copywriting and copyediting skills a plus

·      Experience with data analysis a plus

·      Experience managing social media presence for clients a plus


This position reports to the Creative Director and manages social media coordinators. Other duties may arise, as this position is in a field that continually changes.
